De blijvende verspreiding van het Covid19-virus in België en in de wereld en de daarmee gepaard gaande maatregelen die elk land getroffen heeft, hebben helaas nog steeds een impact op de organisatie van de International Ghent May Regatta.
Na rijp beraad en grondige evaluatie van de huidige situatie hebben we besloten om eveneens de editie van 2021 (gepland op 8 & 9 mei 2021) niet te laten doorgaan. Deze beslissing nemen we in het belang van de gezondheid van de roeiers en in de hoop dat we zo ons steentje bijdragen om de verspreiding van het virus in te dijken.

The persisting spread of the Covid19 virus in Belgium and in the world and the measures taken by each country unfortunately still have also an impact on the organization of the International Ghent May Regatta.
After careful consideration and a thorough evaluation of the current situation, we have decided to cancel also the 2021 edition (scheduled on May 8 & 9, 2021). We’ve made this decision in the interest of rowers' health and in the hope that this will help to prevent the spread of the virus.

La propagation implacable du virus Covid19 en Belgique et dans le monde et les mesures, prises par chaque pays, continuent malheureusement d’avoir un impact sur l'organisation des Régates Internationales Gantoises de Mai.
Après un examen attentif et une évaluation approfondie de la situation actuelle, nous avons décidé d'annuler aussi l'édition 2021 (prévue les 8 et 9 mai 2021). Nous prenons cette décision dans l'intérêt de la santé des rameurs et dans l'espoir de contribuer de cette façon à prévenir la propagation du virus.
